How It Works
- The family and I decide on a schedule that works best, a minimum of twice a week for new students
- I perform the Academic Language Assessment to determine strengths and weaknesses, and target instruction
- The family and I review the testing and decide on goals and timeline
- We begin working together and adjust the intensity of the instruction as the student grows
- I give periodic informal assessments to check the progress
The Golden Rule for remediation is: Go as fast as you can but slow as you have to. The student should be working at grade level ASAP.
Price Schedule
Full Academic Language Assessment: $375
– A complete academic language assessment to determine specific academic areas in need of direct remediation.
Tutoring Session (55 minutes): $140
– Sessions include all materials, basic preparation, travel time, email communication with parents/teachers, and progress updates upon request.
Case Management: $150/hour
– Attending IEP, report writing, classroom observations, and consultation.
